Interns are paid at least minimum wage during their time with a company.
What type of internships are available?
There are nearly 20 businesses involved in the STEM Internship program this year. They range from production facilities like Coats and Clark and PCC to surgical/orthopedic practices.
Am I guaranteed a spot and can I pick where I work?
You are NOT guaranteed a spot. All application packets will be looked at by Ms. Cribbs and Mr. Riner. If you meet the criteria listed above for grades, attendance, and behavior, you will be given an interview time. The employer interview panel will make the decision as to who gets hired. In other words, you do NOT get to pick where you work.
How can I get more information?
During advisement on March 17th, yr advisement teacher should show you a video with a lot of information about the STEM Internship and some comments from students who have gone through the internship in the past. After that date, application packets will be made available.
